About Digby

Digby Morrow designs and makes fine decorative hardwood boxes in his workshop on the outskirts of Linlithgow near Edinburgh, Scotland. He managed international businesses for 25 years before setting up his box-making business in 2007. Digby is self-taught and often gets inspiration for his pieces from nature and the sea.

Digby offers a complete and direct personal service from start to finish – designing – making – inlaying – fine finishing. He will provide guidance to develop a detailed specification of the box you would like to commission – involving you as much or as little as you want. The result will be a design tailored to your requirements – truly bespoke. A price and delivery date will then be agreed to which Digby will commit.

Digby works mainly to commission but also supports a limited number of galleries and exhibits his boxes on a fairly regular basis. When time permits he tries to make a few of the most popular boxes as stock but advanced booking / commissioning is recommended. The time to make a box in normal working hours is around 6 to 8 weeks but that is subject to workload.

Boxes can be shipped internationally. Clients should be aware that Customs duties may be applicable.

Clients are welcome to visit Digby’s home where commissions can be discussed and examples of his work may be on display.
